tribute in light 9/11/2006
every september 11, new york city pays tribute to those who perished in the events
of september 11, 2001. as part of the commemoration, the tribute in light
is lit for one night at sundown in lower manhattan not far from where the towers
of the world trade center used to stand. this year, i joined the throngs of photographers
wandering around downtown in search of pictures of the memorial.

after dark
night photography has been one of my favorite styles ever since i came across
troy paiva's lost america.
photographing during the day can be very frustrating since the weather can make or break a shot,
but pictures always seem to look good at night, at least for me.

these were shot on kodak ektachrome 100 and cross-processed.

cityscape supersampler
a series created with the lomo supersampler, a cheapo made-in-china toy camera marketed by the lomographic society at probably twenty times the cost price.
this was a fun camera to play with , mine broke after four rolls of film, so these are the only pictures that will see the light of day.

the brooklyn series
this series is the result of an afternoon spent wandering around brooklyn.
i started out in search of a spot to get pictures of the brooklyn bridge, and then up at an old pier in red hook that had a view of the statue of liberty and new york harbor.

galleria panoramic
panoramas got me interested in photography. the pictures in this collection are all taken with my trusty canon powershot s200.
i'll always be adding more pictures as they become available, so make sure to check back.

x-film
cross-processing caught my eye several months ago when i stumbled upon some pictures several months ago on live journal.
i decided that i liked the effect of color slide film processed in color negative chemicals (c-41), so i picked up some slide film and experimented away.
here are some pictures from that first roll.
